Dr. Sandra Martinez is a surgeon at the Autonomous University of Coahuila, Mexico, with a specialization in pediatrics and hematology from the National Institute of Pediatrics, Mexico.

• She is a member of numerous prestigious scientific forums and has been the Founding Partner and Vice President of the association, “GERALDINE PROVIDA, AC” that helps children
  with leukemia, Founder of the “GROUP FOR THE STUDY OF THROMBOFILIA, AC”, the “MEXICAN ASSOCIATION OF HEREDITARY ANGIOEDEMA, AC” and the “LATIN AMERICAN
  ASSOCIATION OF HEREDITARY ANGIOEDEMA”.
• Her research interests include hereditary angioedema, lysosomal diseases, neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis, allergy, and clinical immunology which have been published as 30 peerreviewed articles, 8 book chapters, and 22 papers presented in conferences.
• She has led clinical trials in hereditary angioedema cohorts and participated in legislative forums on hereditary angioedema in conjunction with the Chamber of Deputies, Mexico.
