He has been an associate researcher at the Institute of Biotechnology in Cuernavaca, Morelos, as well as an associate researcher at the Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montréal, Canada.

Graduated from the Biology career, from the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla; PhD in Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, with a post-doctorate from the Institut de Recherches Cliniques de Montreal, Canada.

Professional achievements:
Among the honors and awards he has received are the Postdoctoral Fellowship, Cancer Research Society, Canada (2004-2006) and the Postdoctoral Fellowship, National Cancer Institute of Canada and the Terry Fox Foundation, Canada (2007-2009).
He directs the Molecular Immunology laboratory where he conducts research on NK cell signaling pathways and the molecular characterization of primary immunodeficiencies.
