Dr. Gesmar Rodrigues Silva Segundo graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). He did medical residency in pediatrics at the University of São Paulo (USP) and in allergy and immunology at the Federal District Hospitalar Foundation (FHDF).

Academic Trajectory
He holds a master’s and doctorate in Immunology from UFU, as well as a postdoctoral degree in Immunology from the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital, in Seattle, United States.

Professional Achievements
He works as Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine of UFU, Professor of the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at UFU and Coordinator of the medical residency program in Allergy and Pediatric Immunology at the Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia (HC- UFU). He is also responsible for the Recurrent Infections Outpatient Clinic at HC-UFU. He is also the current LASID President
