LASID Announces the Launch of the Journal of Human Immunity (JHI)

The Latin American Society for Immunodeficiencies (LASID) is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Journal of Human Immunity (JHI), the official open-access journal of the International Alliance for Primary Immunodeficiency Societies (IAPIDS). This collaboration between IAPIDS and Rockefeller University Press (RUP) aims to establish JHI as a premier platform for groundbreaking research in human immunity, with a particular focus on inborn errors of immunity.

Set to publish its first articles in spring 2025, JHI will feature a diverse array of content, including original research articles, reviews, letters, editorials, and commentaries. The journal’s scope encompasses:

  • Novel insights into the physiology and pathology of human immunity through the study of genetic defects and their phenocopies.
  • Research on leukocytes and other cells involved in immune responses.
  • Studies addressing conditions such as infections, autoimmunity, autoinflammation, malignancies, and allergies.

Dr. Jean-Laurent Casanova, Editor-in-Chief of JHI, the Levy Family Professor at The Rockefeller University, and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, expressed his vision for the journal:

“Our editorial team—all of whom have a proven track record as scientists and editors—is committed to making JHI the go-to publication for novel insights into the physiology and pathology of human immunity through the study of genetic defects.”
