Nicholas Manolios

Nicholas Manolios, MD, PhD, is Professor and Head of the Department of Rheumatology at the Westmead Hospital and University of Sydney, Australia. He is a clinical rheumatologist and immuno-pathologist with an interest in the role of transmembrane charged amino acids on protein-protein/lipid interactions and subsequent cellular function.  Current research interests are in the therapeutic application of peptides to influence T-cell antigen receptor biology and how to specifically deliver peptides to sites of joint inflammation using nanoparticles.
